Our Funders

The Democracy Center is a 501©3 US nonprofit organization, operating as a project of the San Francisco Foundation Community Initiative Funds. We receive out funding from a combination of sources including grants from foundations, individual donations, and revenue from the sales of our publications. The Democracy Center accepts no funding from any government sources nor does it accept funding that compromises our independence.
